So I come down with a virus and I wake up one morning feeling like Swedish Meatballs. Totally Bizarre!! My only memory of eating this dish was years and years ago at Ikea when it first opened in Brisbane.
I remember everyone raving about these Swedish Meatballs at Ikea and my friends were actually going down on Sundays to eat this dish. So we as humans do have a hearding mentality, if we think our friends are onto something good, we want it too ;) So I went to Ikea, ordered and ate this dish, that I thought was absolutely tasteless and I couldn't understand what people liked about it.
I wasn't going to question my bodies cravings when I was sick as a dog. I definitely wasn't going to go to Ikea to get myself any of that tasteless stuff. I didn't have any meatballs either. So what do i do? I look into the fridge and throw this dish together as close as I think it should be.
Swedish Beef is an authentic and traditional beef stew slow simmered with vegetables, white peppercorns and allspices berries. It is remarkably delicious and the meat should be so tender that it just falls apart.
Here is my take on it :)
So here is the recipe below. It is being enjoyed by many customers in my group and receiving great feedback. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
